Just thought you'd like to know that I wrote a review for the Yokohama Shopping Log manga in Manganime. I hope you'll like it.

Just wanted to let you know that the review for Aria the Natural is now up on the site. Hope you enjoy it.

r q g

Damn man, I haven't visited your page in a while.
I see you've taken a likening to Aria too!
Nice scans.
I'm working on getting the manga translated...

r q g

Can I assume you're keeping up with the sequel to Aria the animation, namely Aria the natural? I just watched the third episode, and I gotta say, this is looking SERIOUSLY good. They finally got Al out of the dungeons too, which was great, because I found him to be a fun character in the manga. ^_^

Aria is more than just a slice-of-life anime. Maybe we can dub anime like this into "Life-is-good" anime, something animedom could use a whole lot more of.

Seriously, if this show remains unliscensed while crap like Highschool Girls or Tactical Roar gets liscensed, then there is no damn justice in the world.

You have just submitted a smaller version of your own previously submiited scan. Aside from the fact that I can't understand why you would do that, it's the sort of thing that would normally earn you a Restricted Member status. As far as I can see, this is just a one-off, and I must say that your Aria scans have been of an incredible standard... So in future please remember to be careful not to duplicate yourself.

Quote by kawaiiguyI've read Shirly. It's quite cute.

Awesome. I wonder if either Shirley or Emma would be viable for an official liscense and release. I certainly hope it will.

Incidentally, I noticed that you also seem to be a fan of the Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou manga or animation, judging by some of the scans you've uploaded. So, basically..... Aria, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, Emma..... gotta love quiet, reflective stories in either drawn or animated format, eh? ;)

Quote by kawaiiguyI'm not sure about a domestic lisence of the Emma manga though, there doesn't seem to be much of a market for slice-of-life here. I've been hoping for a YKK lisence for years now. Now that the monthly has ended in Japan, I may go out and get the import Japanese volumes. Sasuga Books was my downfall at Katsucon...

Actually, there might very well be an US translation and release of Emma. I guess you wouldn't care, but....

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/article.php?id=8459

But yeah, I'm hoping for a YKK liscense too. And for someone to continue with Aria, dammit. Why is crap like DearS allowed a release and not the aforementioned? (Rethorical question. Don't answer. ^^;; )

Thank you for the wonderful review of Aria. It will be at the very top of my to-see list thanks to you.

Happy New Year!

Quote by kawaiiguyWow, I honestly didn't notice the change. I guess I was too swept up with everything, or too sleepy, or too affected by alcohol to notice... I let the realism slide a bit, sine I felt it really isn't a necessary part of the animation. The scene where Alicia lifts President Aria out of the water, however, was one of my favorite shots.

I'm looking forward to the next episode as well. I'm also awaiting more of the manga to be published in the US (stupid ADV) as well as hoping for a lisence. I also remember something about a second season being produced, but I can't remember where I heard it...

Well, call it a nitpick or chalk it up to me living by the sea and watching boats pass every single day of my life. It's no BIG deal to me, but nevertheless something I noticed. But yeah, Alicia's got a nice backhand with that paddle (which gave birth to a rather nice gag in episode 11 when Athena tried to do the same thing. ^_^' )

Incidentally, if you want to read my opinion on the Aria anime, you can do so here.

Urgh! Me be newbie on these boards/guestbook/thingie here. I sorta realized that after I posted it. I'll get the hang of this some day, you'll see.

Edit:

Quote by "kawaiiguyGreat review :) A person after my own heart, I'm sure! However, there was something that bothered me...

Quote by Northy
In the near future, Mars has been terraformed into a paradise, where the city of Neo-Venezia rests.

Either you're a temperal being with a different perspective on time, or you forgot that Aria takes place in the year 2301. ;)

Welcome to MT, and I'm sure you'll get used to the way things work around here.

Well, a three hundred years isn't THAT far off, given that the planet has existed for millions of years. Also, seeing that a lot of futuristic movies from the eighties has taken place in "the far future of 1999", I don't think I'm out of line in calling 2301 the "near future". ;)

Quote by kawaiiguyI hope you're having fun in Taiwan. I guess you'll have a bunch of messages to deal with when you get back. Or just delete them all. I'm sure no one realizes you're gone ;)

Hehe! Well, I'm back now, and busy cleaning out that inbox as well as reading a backlog of recently-submitted reviews.

Anyhow, take care, and see you soon!

Hello kawaiiguy, how have you been?
I am suprised, you have not written anything in a while.....
Well, at least you are still active.

^^

r q g

Widescreen format? An interesting question. I did once wall a dual monitor wallpaper that would easily be convertable (the wall was designed so that the edges could be cropped and maintain the sense of the image, so dual monitor to widescreen is no problem). However, I haven't had too many people asking for widescreen formats so I don't generally design with that size in mind. On the other hand, were there any wallpapers of mind in particular you would be interested in seeing a widescreen of?
(PS: Widescreen would be... 1600x900? Or something else?)

hi kawaiiguy!
passing here to say hi!^^
how are u??
hope cool ^^

Take care!

Quote by Shkira The uneditted and free complete series I get from caring
fansubbers across the world! Lol.

...
I think the question should be best legal deal you ever got ;)
I'm personally a fan of ADV's periodic clearances. I saw the entire
Nadesco series for $15 or so. I can't really say I've gotten any
fantastic deals on anime... The closest I've come is probably getting 6
DVDs for the price of 4, with a 40% discount on top of them. :)

:) Thanks for your thoughts and comments on my thread........
:D "Best anime bargain you ever got?"
;) Wow! I didn't know ADV had periodic clearances.
:) It is always so much fun getting deals on anime!
^_^' Sorry for the delayed reply, I was going down a list of 40-50 people to reply to.
;) Your the last, but not least one. I appreciate your time.
:pacman: Thanks, take care and see you around MT!

hey thanks for replying to my thread. Yes I've noticed the drop in the literacy level. Not just here but in society itself. People just don't read anymore. Even if they do there are usually errors in grammar or spelling in the book itself. Not one of those people I was talking about had the guts to post in my thread. They simply ignored it. Yes I created the thread to blow of steam came after I informed one new member about what Shinsengumi said. She got pissed and made a stupid comment. Really set me off. So I created the Ignorance thread
