Quote by raptorfbDamn man, I haven't
visited your page in a while.
I see you've taken a likening to Aria too!
Nice scans.
I'm working on getting the manga translated...
Yeah... I'm not around much these days. The whole going into the "real
world" kinda does that. Yes, Aria has been one of my likings for quite
awhile, ever since I picked up the US version of the Manga. Damn ADV for not
continuing on with it...
The scans are from the artbooks I bought at Katsucon this year. They're quite
impressive.
Quote by NorthyCan I assume you're keeping
up with the sequel to Aria the animation, namely Aria the natural? I just watched the third episode, and I gotta
say, this is looking SERIOUSLY good. They finally got Al out of the dungeons
too, which was great, because I found him to be a fun character in the manga.
^_^
Aria is more than just a slice-of-life anime. Maybe we can dub anime like this
into "Life-is-good" anime, something animedom could use a whole lot
more of.
Seriously, if this show remains unliscensed while crap like Highschool Girls or
Tactical Roar gets liscensed, then there is no damn justice in the
world.
Yes, I am following the new series. I'm only at episode 2, mostly because I wait
on a specific group. Al was in the first season on a few occasions, though I
have a hard time seperating the manga and the anime. I can never remember if I
had seen something in the anime or read it in the manga, or both.
On that note, where's my manga? Give me more Aria manga!
Quote by dMpi'm not being mean or anything,
but this one and this one are duplicates of your own submission
unless they were taken down then resubmitted again.
I resubmitted them and removed the old ones. Then I found the "update"
button... ^^;;
Quote by dMpgood gracious you're back...i
thought you finished
Nope, just took a short break. Rather, the necessity to go to bed overrode my
desire to upload pictures. Every night it gets later and later because of
lag...
Quote by dMpwhat is that thing? i mean like
what kind of creature is it? i'm curious.
That's president Aria. He's the president of Aria company. In all truthfulness,
he's a cat. He's just very distorted. President Hime and President Ma look much
more like household felines.
Quote by GolgoXIIIVery nice series of
scans there you have put up here do you have anyother ones (scans) from the
artbook? than the ones you have put up so far?
I'm still working on uploading images. MT has this wonderful limit of 5
submissions every 24 hours.
Quote by nolovehi ^^, on milion thnx to
you for sharing those awesome scan ^__^, may i ask you to add you to my
watchlist? i hope you dont mind ^__^, also i wonder do you know where we can get
Aria manga? , i saw the image that's such amazing art, so do you know
where to download it? ^__^
I'm glad you're enjoying it. I've actually purchased the domestically available
Aria manga. Borders, Barnes & Nobel, Walden Books, Amazon.com, etc. will
carry it. Mind you, only three volumes are available in the US, though the
series has topped 8 volumes in Japan. I also picked up Aqua, the prequel to Aria
at Katsucon.
As for those scans, those aren't downloaded from anywhere. I actually bought the
two Kozue Amano artbooks. They truly are things of beauty and I recommend them
for any fan. Mind you, they weren't cheap. I spent about $90 on the two of them.
Quote by dMplooks like you had problems
scanning this one. the right side seems to have been missed a
bit.
That's actually the center of the book. I had my hand on the scanner to press
the book down so I could get as much of the image in without clipping. The
alternative would have been to cut Alice in half.
Quote by dMphehe...back at it again as usual.
they seem a bit smaller this time o.o
Nope, used the same settings as always. That particular image didn't cover the
entire page. Also, since the image is less busy with different colors, JPEG
compression kicks in to make the filesize smaller.
Quote by dMpeh? turned away? hehe she's shy i
guess. last one huh? thanks a bunch for posting these up.
Don't tell me you used up all your credits already
I don't know how much I have anymore since I never use them and it doesn't give
the number anymore. Just look at it this way: I can post 5 images a day and you
get 5 free downloads a day. It works out
If you do decide on the artbooks and you can only afford one of them, I'd
suggest getting Alpha. It has more Aqua/Aria related stuff than Stella. Both are
beautifully done and give you a glimpse at to the other types of things that
Kozue Amano does. All together, both cost me around $90 from Sasuga
books.

Quote by dMpand i thought there was only 1
version, the day version. awesome, i didn't expect this night
version.
Yep, if you've seen any of the Aria manga, you'll notice the inside cover and
back covers match. It doesn't seem to be that way for Aqua though,
pitty.
Quote by dMpgeezes christ, these are some
really fine scans. guess i'll have to spend a few credits this time
lol.
Mwahaha. You sound like me when I was at Katsucon. Except that I was drooling
over books. And I was spending money ^^;;
Quote by dMpi'm running out of comments lol.
i can see now why these are great for wallpaper
purposes.
Y'know, it's the fact that since I have the originals, I can make images of any
resolution I want (within the limitations of my scanner).
Quote by dMpalot bigger and higher quality
than the one previously posted one...don't delete this one MODS!
Glad you enjoy them. There'll be more where these came from. Go out and get
these books yourself!
Quote by Ultimaninjawow, if this is
the cover...this is an amazing scan! Great job and thank
you!
I didn't scan it from the cover. It's out of the Kozue Amano artbook
"Alpha." The image was also used for the cover of Aqua volume 2 (which
will be uploaded later).

But yeah, I'm hoping for a YKK liscense too. And for someone to continue with
Aria, dammit. Why is crap like DearS allowed a release and not the
aforementioned? (Rethorical question. Don't answer. ^^;;
)
I think ADV stalled Aria because of unknown popularity. The suits wanted to see
how popular the anime would be before more manga was released stateside. That's
what I heard, at least.
Quote by NorthyAwesome. I wonder if either
Shirley or Emma would be viable for an official liscense and release. I
certainly hope it will.
Incidentally, I noticed that you also seem to be a fan of the Yokohama Kaidashi
Kikou manga or animation, judging by some of the scans you've uploaded. So,
basically..... Aria, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, Emma..... gotta love quiet,
reflective stories in either drawn or animated format, eh?
I've read some of Emma, but I never made a habit of it. I'm not sure why, but it
didn't quite capture my attention in the same way as YKK or Aria. I think what
draws me to those is the beautiful artwork in addition to the story. This is
especially true with Aria, as Kozue Amano does amazing work. I picked up his two
artbooks last week at Katsucon and they are absolutely stunning. I really need
to get a scanner at some point to share some of my favorites...
I'm not sure about a domestic lisence of the Emma manga though, there doesn't
seem to be much of a market for slice-of-life here. I've been hoping for a YKK
lisence for years now. Now that the monthly has ended in Japan, I may go out and
get the import Japanese volumes. Sasuga Books was my downfall at Katsucon...
Quote by NorthyIncidentally, I do have a
scanlation of a manga called "Shirley", which is made by the artist
who did the Emma manga. It's quite a nice manga which also comes highly
recommended if you enjoyed Emma.
Quote by nenechanThis series is
absolutely so sweet and precious. Working in a bookstore, I stumbled on Aria
while I was taking a lunch break and needed something to read. I was instantly
hooked, and so excited to see that the anime was being subbed! I've watched all
but the last episode and read all 3 books (How I wish they'd release more in the
US soon!) and I really enjoyed it. Makino Yui has since become my favorite music
artist after watching this series, and the sweetness of her songs really flows
with how simple and endearing the whole series is. I hope they do more with it.
It's one of those stories you can watch just to relax, and it reminds you that
the simplest things in life are often the best!
I think the "official" stance from ADV is that they want to judge the
popularity of the anime before releasing any more manga. I find that rather
unfortunate. Then again, I belong to the group that wants Aria: The Animation to
be lisenced for distribution in the US...
Quote by arashidragonThank you for
the wonderful review of Aria. It will be at the very top of my to-see list
thanks to you.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I discovered the manga from another member in a YKK
forum. When the anime came out, I made sure to find it. I'm hoping for a lisence
of it, as it will be something I'm looking to purchase in the future
Damn those young'ns causing such a ruckus! I'm trying to watch anime here!
y'know, I'm really not that interesting to watch. I kinda lurk more than anything these days, and kinda check in sporatically.
*feels watched*

Are you kidding? This is one of the ones I scaled down! I've gotten enough feedback about wanting bigger images, so I left most of them unaltered
I'm still working on uploading images. MT has this wonderful limit of 5 submissions every 24 hours.
